Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or related field; JD/LLM programs acceptable.
• Prior internship or work experience in accounting or public accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research tax topics and prepare simple tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic research on federal and state tax issues.
• Participate in the preparation, filing and completion of tax returns and related documents.
• Draft tax memoranda and responses to state tax authorities; assist in tax filings.
• Develop understanding of tax software and case management tools.
• Support senior staff in client meetings and project work.
