BDO USA, Llp is seeking a Tax Intern for Summer 2027 in Atlanta to assist with SALT research and basic tax filings. You will work closely with experienced tax professionals, gain exposure to state and local tax laws, and develop technical skills in tax software and documentation.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance programs, with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters program in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or related field; JD/LLM programs also accepted
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team
• Experience or coursework with tax concepts is a plus

Responsabilités

• Assists with basic SALT research and analysis
• Prepares and files basic tax returns and related documents','Supports tax professionals with compliance tasks
• Drafts tax memoranda and responses to notices from state authorities
• Participates in tax planning discussions and learning opportunities
• Utilizes tax software under supervision to complete tasks
• Maintains organized workpapers and documents for assigned clients
