Job summary

United Salt Corporation in Saltville, VA is seeking a Bagging Machine Operator to run and monitor packaging equipment on a fast-paced production line, ensuring product quality and safety. The role supports two per shift coverage during absences and coordinates with shipping and warehouse staff.

You will maintain machines, log production data, and ensure compliance with safety and AIB guidelines while contributing to continuous improvement and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training or equivalent.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors, and maintains packaging equipment.
• Transport pallets from packaging lines to the warehouse.
• Store products and raw materials in organized manner as directed by management.
• Load and receive product, raw materials, hoppers, and equipment to/from shipping.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; uphold AIB guidelines.
• Must possess a valid DMME general mineral miner card.
• Re-stack and wrap packages safely as needed.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance as directed by management.
• Maintain plant records, logbooks, checklists, permits, and documents.
• Monitor and maintain product quality and production.
• Generate work permits and work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.
