Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Services Manager to lead a team of stylists and estheticians while delivering exceptional guest service and meeting sales goals. This role combines chair-side service with leadership, training, and operational excellence in a fast-paced salon environment.

You will coach staff, manage scheduling, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with all store policies, while driving service and merchandise sales through partnerships and events.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license and cosmetology management license where required by state law.
• 2–3+ years relevant, fast-paced salon management experience.
• Knowledge of state board regulations and hiring requirements.
• Develop financial management: driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform salon hair services, make up applications, skincare analysis, brow services, and product demonstrations with guests.
• Achieve individual productivity goals each week.
• Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed the store’s goals related to service and merchandise sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
• Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth and expense control.
• Support the planning and execution of services events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience, drive brand partner collaboration, and deliver on sales and payroll goals.
• Review, analyze, and react to Ulta Beauty’s financial and operational reporting regularly, including services visits and audit results.
