Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Services Manager to lead a salon team of stylists and estheticians, driving service and merchandise sales while ensuring guest satisfaction. The ASM partners with the Experience Manager to elevate the guest experience, coach staff, and manage operations from behind the chair as needed.

The role emphasizes performance, people, and processes, with opportunities to advance in a fast-paced beauty environment and to influence service excellence across the store.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years relevant, fast-paced salon management experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of state board of cosmetology regulations and hiring requirements
• Developing financial management: driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expense
• Developing leadership management: experience with attracting, developing, and motivating top talent

Responsibilities

• Perform salon hair services, makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests.
• Achieve individual productivity goals each week.
• Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed store goals related to service, merchandise sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
• Drive profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth and expense control.
• Plan and execute services events that deliver guest experience and partner collaboration, meeting sales and payroll goals.
• Review financial and operational reporting regularly, including visits and audits, and react promptly.
