About the Role

Salon Shear Genius is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and resourceful Recruiter to help us attract talented beauty professionals and build a strong, dependable salon team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, connecting with people, and identifying individuals who would thrive in a professional, welcoming salon environment.

As a family-owned salon serving Chester County for nearly 20 years, we are committed to providing excellent client service, encouraging professional growth, and creating opportunities for both experienced stylists and emerging beauty professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidate Sourcing: Identify and recruit experienced hairstylists, colorists, junior stylists, cosmetology graduates, salon assistants, and front desk candidates.

• Cosmetology School Outreach: Establish relationships with local cosmetology schools, instructors, and career placement departments to connect with graduating students and newly licensed professionals.

• Job Advertising: Share SSG job opportunities across appropriate job boards, social media platforms, professional groups, and local community networks.

• Networking: Build relationships with beauty professionals and encourage qualified candidates to explore career opportunities at SSG.

• Applicant Follow-Up: Respond to interested candidates, review initial qualifications, and coordinate interviews with salon management.

• Recruitment Marketing: Help promote the benefits of working at SSG, including a supportive team environment, professional development, continuing education, and potential incentives for qualified hires.

• Candidate Relationship Management: Maintain an organized record of candidates, outreach efforts, responses, interviews, and hiring progress.

• Community Partnerships: Explore opportunities to participate in cosmetology school demonstrations, career events, student presentations, and other activities that introduce future professionals to SSG.
