Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to maintain a high-energy, client-centric environment and drive store performance in Des Moines, IA. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, coach staff, and help achieve productivity and sales goals.

Qualifications

• College education preferred but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Team building and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in all company operations including creating a client-centric experience.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain staffing levels to ensure productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
• Work nights and weekends as required to provide management coverage.
