Job summary

JCPenney Salon in Chattanooga is seeking a Salon Manager to lead a dynamic team while continuing to service clients behind the chair. You’ll coach stylists, drive performance, and help grow the business, with the option to work 8–16 hours weekly behind the chair and earn commission on service and retail.

You’ll build a positive salon culture, recruit and develop talent, and manage performance while maintaining an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

• A current cosmetology license in the state where you are applying.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver outstanding service and set standards for the team.
• Coach stylists to improve client experiences, rebooking, referrals and loyalty.
• Recruit, coach, and develop team members; manage performance and attendance.
• Drive salon performance by focusing on productivity, referrals, and client acquisition.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional salon environment and set clear expectations.
