Madison Reed is seeking a General Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead a Hair Color Bar team, drive guest satisfaction, and grow the business through strong leadership and operational excellence.

You will supervise Colorists, manage bookings and memberships, and ensure superb service while upholding our values. Competitive base pay with bonus potential, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• 2+ years of salon and retail experience.
• 2+ years of operational management experience.
• 2+ years supervising team members including hiring and scheduling.
• Strong proficiency as a colorist.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver top-tier guest experience and align with company values.
• Drive sales and service performance, resolving guest issues.
• Ensure staffing, SOP adherence, bookings, services, and memberships.
• Maintain mastery of Madison Reed services, stepping in when needed.
• Support district leadership remotely or on-site as required.
• Achieve monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Coach and develop team members for peak performance.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and scheduling.
• Manage employee schedules based on forecasts and labor laws.
