Job summary

PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) is responsible for providing exceptional service to pet parents and supporting a high performing team while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role will deliver professional quality services with the upmost focus on quality and care of pets.

The Salon Experience Lead will support the development of bathers and new stylists, seeing them through the entire pet stylist development program.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years grooming experience; may be required to pass a technical exam.
• Full-time availability with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient with grooming tools, equipment and products; safe handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organization and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead grooming services and support development of bathers and stylists.
• Train and coach associates; manage onboarding and performance feedback.
• Ensure high-quality pet care and grooming standards.
• Drive salon sales and promote services and merchandise.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and humane care in grooming area.
• Coordinate scheduling, bookings, and customer interactions.
