Business Development Manager (Custom Cable Sales)

Remote – 20% Travel | Base Salary: $75–90K + Uncapped Quarterly Commission

Wire & Cable is on a mission — we’re aiming to grow from $10M to $15M in revenue over the next two years, and we’re looking for a driven, technically savvy Business Development Manager to help get us there.

If you have sales experience, understand the long sales cycle of engineered-to-order products, and enjoy working with engineers in a collaborative and consultative environment, you may be the right person to join our team.

This is not a commodity sales role. This is about solution-selling in complex, specification-driven environments. We work with customers in Data Signal, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Defense, and Transportation—and we’re looking for someone who knows how to navigate those industries.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in custom cable sales (not commodity wire)
  • Background with a distributor or manufacturer in the cable or wire industry
  • Ability to talk with engineers and understand technical project needs (engineering degree not required)
  • Deep understanding of spec-driven sales cycles
  • Strong communicator with a hunter’s mentality
  • Comfortable working independently, but thrives in a team-based environment
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
