Key Account Manager - Non Traditional (East)

Are you an experienced salesperson with a passion for the beverage industry? Do you excel in developing strategic sales plans and fostering strong customer relationships? Yerba Madre seeks a dynamic Key Account Manager to drive sales and expand our market presence within the Non-Traditional channel in the Eastern region.

This role involves overseeing and nurturing Yerba Madre's non-traditional foodservice business with clients such as Compass, Aramark, and Sodexo. Responsibilities include driving distribution, volume, and programming execution through the food service channel via major contract feeders. You will develop business plans with assigned accounts to grow Yerba Madre’s consumer pull within foodservice and vending segments, playing a pivotal role in aligning our mission with customer strategies to create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Build annual business plans for each customer to meet revenue, volume, profit, and market share goals through joint planning.
  • Deliver business plan objectives across the region and manage adjustments proactively.
  • Identify and develop ad hoc opportunities, including execution planning and budgeting.
  • Manage in-store execution and activation collaboratively with distribution partners and marketing teams.
  • Develop promotional programs aligned with retailer strategies and Yerba Madre’s business plans, utilizing data and customer insights.
  • Create and present customer reports, including business reviews, product updates, and promotional recaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate consumer insights into effective sell stories.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in CPG (beverage preferred), with experience working with clients like Compass, Sodexo, Aramark, and Vistar.
  • 5+ years in non-traditional channels such as vending, collegiate, healthcare, and workplace.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to meet DOT standards.
  • Experience in DSD, warehouse distribution, broadline distributors, and office coffee services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to meet and exceed goals, proactively managing adjustments.
  • Capable of identifying and maximizing new opportunities.
Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
  • Travel 20-30%.
  • Full-time, remote position for candidates in the US.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
