As a Senior Salesforce Product Owner, you will be instrumental in our client success stories, driving the migration of legacy client systems while independently discovering innovative solutions. Your ability to critically evaluate business requirements and translate them into advanced Salesforce solutions will guide clients through the entire project lifecycle—from initial discovery to implementation and optimization. This hybrid position is based in NYC

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Salesforce best practices and out-of-the-box configure vs. code methodologies to deliver exceptional implementations, customizations, configurations, and training services to Ness’ Salesforce customer base.
  • Proactively discover and investigate ambiguous existing client systems and lead projects to reconstruct them in Salesforce through independent thinking and problem-solving.
  • Make hands-on configuration changes in Salesforce, demonstrating your ability to develop solutions autonomously.
  • Learn, comprehend, and extract requirements from non-Salesforce systems, applying critical analysis to propose effective Salesforce implementations.
  • Maintain familiarity with the Agile framework and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with clients to deeply understand their business processes and requirements, offering expert insights on how Salesforce can uniquely address their needs.
  • Manage development priorities and backlog for Salesforce applications in collaboration with client product owners and technical teams, showcasing your decision-making and leadership capabilities.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews to gather and document detailed functional requirements while providing innovative recommendations.
  • Design and configure advanced Salesforce solutions, including complex custom objects, fields, workflows, process builder flows, and other declarative features.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful solution implementation, contributing insightful input on data migration, integrations, and customization efforts.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables in a diverse, fast-paced environment, effectively collaborating across teams and juggling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Product Owner, with clear examples of complex project experiences showcasing innovative problem-solving.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and at least one Salesforce Consultant certification required.
  • Experience handling a previous org migration is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with business automation tools such as Appian, UIPath, and Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
  • Previous experience with AI tools such as Einstein Copilot or Google Claude is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities, limitations, and best practices, with the ability to articulate your vision and choices during development processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
