Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is hiring a Salesforce Developer II to design and build world-class Salesforce apps and Tableau visualizations. You will work with Business Analysts and Salesforce Admins to deliver scalable solutions that meet business needs and enable key decisions.

Expertise in Apex, Salesforce architecture, APIs, and Tableau is essential. The role requires 4+ years of Salesforce development, customer-facing experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred)
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau
• Experience with Salesforce data and objects
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis
• Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate into Salesforce solutions
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce apps
• Develop Apex classes & triggers, Lightning components, and Visualforce
• Estimate work effort and plan development timelines
• Assist with releases and deployments
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services
• Test application stability and functionality
• Troubleshoot and fix defects
• Maintain security and data integrity
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments and refreshes
