Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Salesforce Developer to analyze, develop, and test Salesforce solutions using agile practices. You will work with IT and business stakeholders through requirements, design, build, delivery, and user acceptance testing to ensure quality and alignment with business needs.

The role spans Level I–IV accountabilities with increasing complexity, involving mentoring, strategic input, and broad impact across multiple applications.

Qualifications

• One year Salesforce development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or six years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in Salesforce development or configuration using Apex, Visualforce, LWCs, flows and declarative tools
• Proficiency in Salesforce platform development including Apex classes and triggers, LWCs, APIs
• Familiarity with Salesforce configuration (objects, fields, page layouts, record types, permissions)
• Knowledge of SOQL/SOSL and data model design
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and partner with team members to understand user stories
• Strong problem-solving skills and Agile familiarity
• Familiarity with testing techniques (unit and system)

Responsibilities

• Develops code; analyzes, researches, and resolves system issues.
• Participates in design reviews and code reviews.
• Maintains documentation for applications.
• Communicates with team and business to understand requirements and impacts.
• Attends standups and adheres to IT processes and standards.
• Performs on-call rotation and supports timelines.
