Job summary

Indium is seeking a Salesforce Core Tech Lead to own the technical direction of the Salesforce Core platform, spanning Service Cloud, OMS, and Experience Cloud. This hands-on leader will set architecture, review PRs touching Core, own release quality, and guide two mid-level engineers daily.

You will collaborate with CX, Operations, IT, and vendor partners across NA and EMEA, driving SOX-compliant release processes and strong test coverage.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Salesforce development with at least 2 years in a lead or architect capacity owning a Salesforce org end to end.
• Deep, hands-on Service Cloud experience: Case routing, Omni-Channel, Knowledge, Entitlements and Milestones.
• Expert Apex, LWC and Flow; you know when a Flow is the right choice and can explain why.
• Strong integration experience: REST/SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, middleware (MuleSoft).
• Proven ownership of a Salesforce release pipeline: Git, SFDX / sf CLI, scratch orgs or sandboxes, CI/CD, test coverage.
• Track record performing code reviews and holding a team to a quality bar.
• Experience mentoring engineers, giving direct feedback, and guiding growth.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture for Salesforce Core including object model, sharing and security, and automation strategy.
• Design end-to-end Service Cloud and OMS solutions and define standards for declarative vs programmatic work.
• Evaluate managed packages and AppExchange vs custom build; document calls and decisions.
• Partner with Commerce Cloud lead on data flows between SFCC and Core order data.
• Perform code and configuration reviews; write production code themselves 40–50% of time.
• Own release process: sandbox strategy, Git branching, CI/CD, deployment validation and rollback.
• Lead two mid-level engineers: allocations, coaching, growth plans and performance feedback.
