Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is seeking a Salesforce Architect/Developer within its Digital Learning department to lead architecture, configurations, development, and release management for the Salesforce platform, including Education Cloud, Data Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. The role collaborates with campus partners and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions.

Applicants should have Salesforce Education Cloud experience, strong integration skills, and familiarity with DevOps

Qualifications

• Experience in Salesforce Education Cloud or (Sales and Service Cloud).
• Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce architecture, features, and capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Knowledge of Salesforce declarative tools (e.g., Salesforce Flow) and programmatic tools (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL).
• Knowledge of integration techniques, including REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, and ETL processes.
• Experience on of Salesforce DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Salesforce DX.
• Experience on Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture, configurations, development, and release management for Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Digital Learning units, campus partners, and external vendors to support Salesforce implementations.
• Develop and enforce release management procedures and source control standards.
• Provide troubleshooting and platform support and assist with UAT and rollout activities.
