Job summary

Timberland Partners in Hopkins, MN seeks a Sales Training Specialist to lead development and execution of our sales training programs for the Home Office and communities. You will drive needs assessment, curriculum development, and deliver live and virtual trainings to improve leasing performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property management, familiarity with Yardi, and a passion for learning. This role offers growth, a strong team, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Property Management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Yardi experience strongly preferred.
• Sales experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent management and prioritization of tasks.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Responsibilities

• Needs assessment and curriculum development: develop and deliver training to improve sales team performance; lead company-wide initiatives and host live training sessions.
• Targeted coaching: review leasing activity to identify training gaps and provide coaching and leasing resources.
• Yardi CRM IQ Training & Support: act as SME for Yardi CRM IQ, optimize workflows, manage the CRM IQ Academy, and create training resources.
• Leasing Mentor Program Manager: mentor, recruit, onboard Leasing Mentors, partner with Community Managers, and track incentives.
• Impact Tracking: develop evaluation framework to measure leasing metrics and ROI of training initiatives.
• Internal Communication: share job expectations and training opportunities via the intranet.
• Resource Management: maintain learning resources and plans to deploy systems and selling skills to achieve KPIs.
• Future-Forward Leasing: leverage AI and automation to enhance leasing efforts.
• Team Support: provide exceptional customer service to team members and help create proactive action plans.

What You'll Be Doing

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Needs Assessment & Curriculum Development: Drive operational goals by developing and delivering training to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. You will lead company-wide initiatives and host live training sessions.
• Targeted Coaching: Review the leasing activity of communities experiencing occupancy challenges to identify additional training opportunities, providing extra coaching and leasing resources where needed.
• Yardi CRM IQ Training & Support: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Yardi CRM IQ system. You’ll assist with optimizing workflows, manage the CRM IQ Academy, and develop training resources like video tutorials and quick reference guides.
• Leasing Mentor Program Manager: Mentor, coach, recruit, and onboard new Leasing Mentors. You will partner with Community Managers to ensure smooth new-hire onboarding, design accountability metrics to track program success, and ensure the timely payment of Mentor incentives.
• Impact Tracking: Develop and implement a structured evaluation framework to track key leasing metrics, measuring the direct impact and ROI of your sales support initiatives.
• Internal Communication: Reinforce job expectations and share fun sales training opportunities and tips via announcements on the company intranet platform.
• Resource Management: Maintain an up-to-date library of support resources and learning plans to ensure effective deployment of systems and selling skills to achieve KPIs.
• Future-Forward Leasing: Maximize the utilization of AI and other automated functions to enhance leasing efforts.
• Team Support: Provide exceptional customer service to our team members, troubleshooting concerns and assisting in creating proactive action plans.

What You'll Need

• 2+ years of Property Management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Yardi experience strongly preferred
• Sales experience strongly preferred
• Desire to learn and grow as a multi-family learning professional
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year

Physical Demands

Work occurs in a typical office setting, with frequent exposure to the outdoors when touring apartments/communities. The job requires periodic travel to conduct in-person training sessions, attend company events, and support community operations. This position is periodically sedentary but requires mobility. Involves sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods. Some repetitive motion of the hands and wrists associated with using a computer.
