Our client is an established healthcare company with a long history of innovation and a strong reputation for clinical excellence and product quality. The organization is entering an exciting period of accelerated growth and is expanding its commercial infrastructure to support that growth. As part of this expansion, the company is creating a new Sales Trainer position to build and develop a scalable Sales training function. This is an opportunity for someone who combines clinical or technical expertise with strong Sales training and facilitation skills and wants to have a meaningful impact on a growing commercial organization.

The Opportunity

The Sales Trainer will develop, deliver and continuously improve Sales training programs for new hires and existing Sales professionals. This individual will serve as a bridge between Clinical, Marketing and Sales, translating complex clinical and product information into practical, engaging Sales training. The successful candidate will be comfortable facilitating a room, coaching representatives, developing role plays and bringing new ideas to the organization. This is not simply a presentation or onboarding role. The company is looking for someone who can build, facilitate, coach and continuously improve how the Sales organization learns and develops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales training strategy for new and existing Sales team members
  • Lead new-hire Sales onboarding and training
  • Develop and deliver ongoing Sales development programs
  • Partner with Clinical and Marketing to align product, clinical and commercial education
  • Translate complex clinical and product information into practical Sales training
  • Develop engaging training modules, role plays, simulations and exercises
  • Coach Sales representatives on discovery, questioning, storytelling and customer conversations
  • Help representatives effectively communicate product value to healthcare professionals
  • Facilitate interactive training sessions that encourage participation and skill development
  • Develop standalone Sales training events as well as ongoing learning programs
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and consistency of Sales training
  • Bring new training ideas, tools and best practices to the organization
  • Help establish a more structured and scalable Sales training methodology
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide coaching and reinforcement following training
  • Partner with Sales leadership to understand performance gaps and develop appropriate training solutions
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Sales organization
Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidates will have experience training Sales professionals who sell clinically complex products directly to healthcare providers.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

  • Sales Trainer within regenerative medicine, tissue regeneration or biologics
  • Clinical Trainer with strong Sales training experience
  • Medical Device Sales Trainer
  • Experienced medical-device Sales professional who has moved into training
  • Clinical Specialist with significant training and facilitation experience
  • Dental or healthcare professional with strong Sales training capabilities
  • Industry Experience: Medical Device, someone who works to sell into physician offices. Experience in regenerative tissue is particularly relevant, followed by dental and broader medical-device experience.
Clinical & Technical Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of clinically oriented products and applications
  • Ability to learn and communicate complex clinical concepts
  • Ability to translate clinical knowledge into practical Sales conversations
  • Experience working with or training professionals who sell directly to clinicians
  • Experience across multiple product lines
Sales Training Experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and/or delivering Sales training
  • Experience with new-hire onboarding
  • Experience facilitating ongoing Sales development
  • Strong understanding of fundamental selling skills
  • Experience with role plays, simulations and interactive training
  • Ability to coach representatives and reinforce learning after training
  • Understanding of discovery, questioning, storytelling and customer engagement
