Job summary

Builders FirstSource offers a trainee program designed to develop knowledge across yard operations, production, dispatch, and inside sales while preparing you for an Outside Sales Representative role. You will accompany seasoned reps on customer visits and gradually take on outside sales tasks as you learn.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years in sales or related operations, and possess strong communication, math, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field.
• 0–2 years related industry operations/sales or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Train across yard operations, production, dispatch, delivery and inside sales.
• Shadow Outside Sales Reps and Sales Manager on customer calls.
• Assist with inside sales tasks: phone, orders, and follow-up.
• Perform outside sales actions: take-offs, orders, signatures, and calls to customers.
• Set personal performance goals and track progress with mentors.
• Complete assigned sales training programs and safety procedures.
