Location: Youngstown, OH - Retail shop

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Sales Trainee will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to provide a thorough understanding of our industry, customers, and organization. This program emphasizes sales and professional development to prepare the Trainee for the challenges of the role. Upon completion, the Trainee is expected to meet and exceed sales, profitability, and A/R management objectives within their territory, with the ability to sell all Airgas products.

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers.
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain and grow the customer base.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding customer successes, issues, and new developments.
  • Plan to improve Airgas market share within the territory.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  • Qualify and pursue leads from other Airgas departments.
  • Report on territory and personal performance, market trends, and submit an annual sales plan.
  • Submit required sales and activity reports punctually.
  • Lead through open communication and teamwork.
  • Prioritize safety by following company procedures.
