Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) in Tampa, FL,is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice. You will work with clients and the sales tax team to resolve data issues, review returns, and leverage Avalara software to prepare and assess sales tax filings.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of relevant experience, and CPA eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and tax teams to resolve data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software and apply it to returns.
• Prepare and review sales tax returns for multiple industries.
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies.
• Develop and mentor junior staff.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns; engage in special projects.
• Support client relationships across manufacturing, distribution, retail, and healthcare.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior role:

• Work withclientand sales tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training onAvalara software
• UtilizeAvalarato prepareand reviewsales tax returns
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve sales tax returns
• IdentifyNexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may berequired
• Develop and train teamassociates andinterns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

What you will need:

The compensation range for this position in California is: $84,400.00 - $143,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 - $124,000.00
