Job summary

CLA is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in California. You will work with the sales tax team and clients to resolve data issues, learn Avalara software, prepare and review sales tax returns, and serve diverse industries.

The role emphasizes collaboration, training, and the opportunity to mentor associates and interns while resolving complex issues and delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare.
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns.
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required.
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers.
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results.

The compensation range for this position in California is: $84,400.00 - $143,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 - $124,000.00
