Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice in Akron. You will partner with clients and the tax team to resolve data issues, learn Avalara, and prepare reviews of sales tax returns for varied industries.

This role includes mentoring teammates and handling research to deliver accurate results. We value collaboration, professional growth, and a client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience in business consulting or services is preferred.
• CPA eligible is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software.
• Use Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns.
• Collaborate with clients from multiple industries (Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Healthcare).
• Perform tax research and handle special projects as needed.
• Review and resolve sales tax returns and Nexus issues.
• Develop and train team associates and interns.
• Engage with clients to resolve complex issues and deliver results.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Senior role:

• Work withclientand sales tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training onAvalara software
• UtilizeAvalarato prepareand reviewsales tax returns
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including but not limited to Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve sales tax returns
• IdentifyNexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may berequired
• Develop and train teamassociates andinterns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

What you will need:

The compensation range for this position in California is: $84,400.00 - $143,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 - $124,000.00
