Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Sales Tax Outsourcing Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice. You will collaborate with clients and the sales tax team to resolve data issues and review tax returns.

This role offers exposure to multiple industries, opportunities to train team associates, and work on complex state and local tax projects, with competitive compensation and career growth at CLA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with client and sales tax team to resolve identified data issues
• Receive training on Avalara software
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review sales tax returns
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve sales tax returns
• Identify Nexus issues and discrepancies where filing a return may be required
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

The compensation range for this position in California is: $84,400.00 - $143,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 - $124,000.00
