Job summary

Heritage Auctions, Inc. is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant to handle multi-state filings and related tax duties at our Dallas headquarters. The role requires timely monthly/quarterly returns, remittances, and audits support in a fast-paced office environment.

Candidate should have 1–3 years of multi-state sales tax experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and strong Excel skills; Avalara experience is a plus. This full-time onsite position offers a competitive benefits package.

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with tax software Avalara is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly high volume, multi-state sales and use tax returns
• Process sales tax remittances
• Assist with sales tax research questions
• Follow up on notices from tax authorities
• Provide support for sales tax audits
• Maintain reconciliation of sales tax accounts to the general ledger
• Assist with other tax duties and projects
• Assist with implementation of new tax software

SUMMARY

The Sales Tax Accountant is responsible for multi-state sales and use tax filings for several corporations. This is a fast-paced position for someone who can manage various deadlines.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time onsite position at our Dallas Headquarters

Commensurate based on experience.
