Job summary

Heritage Auctions, Inc. in Dallas, TX invites a detail-oriented Sales Tax Accountant to manage monthly and quarterly multi-state filings for several corporate entities.

You will process remittances, respond to tax notices, support audits, reconcile accounts to the general ledger, and assist with tax software implementations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years progressive multi-state sales tax experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with tax software Avalara is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly high volume, multi-state sales and use tax returns
• Process sales tax remittances
• Assist with sales tax research questions
• Follow up on any notices received from tax authorities
• Provide support for all sales tax audits
• Maintain reconciliation of sales tax accounts to general ledger
• Assist with other tax duties and projects
• Assist with implementation of new tax software

SUMMARY:

The Sales Tax Accountant is responsible for multi-state sales and use tax filings for several corporations. This is a fast-paced position for someone who can manage various deadlines.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time onsite position at our Dallas Headquarters

COMPENSATION:

Commensurate based on experience.

LOCATION:

South of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, NW corner of W. Airport Freeway (Hwy. 183) and Valley View Lane
