Job summary

Heritage Auctions, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a Sales Tax Accountant to manage monthly and quarterly multi-state sales tax filings. The role focuses on high-volume processing, remittances, and audit support in a fast-paced, team-driven office.

Requirements include 1–3 years’ multi-state sales tax experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and strong Excel skills; Avalara experience is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits at our Dallas headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly high volume, multi-state sales and use tax returns
• Process sales tax remittances
• Assist with sales tax research questions
• Follow up on any notices received from tax authorities
• Provide support for all sales tax audits
• Maintain reconciliation of sales tax accounts to general ledger
• Assist with other tax duties and projects
• Assist with implementation of new tax software

SUMMARY

The Sales Tax Accountant is responsible for multi-state sales and use tax filings for several corporations. This is a fast-paced position for someone who can manage various deadlines.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time onsite position at our Dallas Headquarters.
