Job summary

Structural Component Systems is seeking a sales-support professional to assist our sales department with building materials, components, and complete lumber packages. You will work with estimators, purchasing, pricing coordinators, and customers from bidding to sale, helping Salespeople succeed while learning the sales process.

You will contribute to bidding, plan review, ERP project creation, and customer issue resolution, with strong emphasis on communication and follow-through to ensure

Qualifications

• Five years' minimum building materials sales or other related experience in new construction framing and building components.
• Experience with blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with the sales and estimating teams.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the bid invite process. Receive communication from Sales or Customer via phone, email or text.
• Download plans and review scope of work needed.
• Provide design departments with clear, precise, and accurate information and/or plans.
• Create Projects in ERP system.
• Measure foundations as needed.
• Create specification sheets for estimators.
• Review pricing files for final pricing.
• Create final proposals for SFR, MFR, and Commercial projects.
• Assist in managing customer relations regarding pricing, delivery, quality and any other problems in a timely and reasonable manner.
• Receive customer service issues via phone, email or text, and log into our CSI system to rectify customer issues. Could include job-site visits and information gathering at the jobsite.
• Provide complete and accurate customer service reports for all jobsite problems, customer changes or sales changes.
• Assist the Sales department with other tasks as needed.
