Job description

The Sales Support Specialist plays a pivotal role within the sales support ecosystem, acting as the essential link that ensures the smooth operation of sales teams and the effective execution of sales strategies. With expertise in managing critical administrative tasks, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing support to both sales representatives and managers, they significantly contribute to the success of the sales team. Their strength lies in maintaining accurate records of sales activities and facilitating communication to ensure the smooth processing of all relevant sales documentation. As the backbone of the sales department, Sales Support Specialists are crucial in nurturing strong customer relationships and achieving sales objectives, making them an indispensable asset to any results-oriented organization.

Administrative Support and CRM Management

Assisting assigned sales team members by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information. This is inclusive of coordinating the logistics of sales calls and presentations. Ensuring the adequacy of sales-related demo equipment or material, such as brochures, presentations, and proposals. Assisting in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events to boost sales opportunities. Enter and maintain customer data, sales activities and progress updates in the CRM system accurately. Ensure data integrity and generate reports for assigned sales team members and sales management. Collaborate with assigned sales team members to ensure timely and accurate proposal submission. Perform competitors’ product crossovers to match with company product. Monitor the team's performance and report on metrics, such as target achievement and sales figure. Create and manage quotes based on assigned sales team member inputs and developed solutions on an as needed basis.

Customer Communication. Responding to complaints from customers and giving after-sales support when requested. Monitor customer orders and ensure that sales team members are informed of their status in addition to ensuring the accurate completion of sales orders. Acting as a point of contact for urgent calls, emails, and messages when sales representatives are unavailable. Ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and that all escalated matters are handled with a sense of urgency. General: Collaborate with internal Murrelektronik departments to ensure all client issues, real and perceived, are being addressed and resolved. Foster proficient familiarity with product applications at an intermediate level. Scale up and down to support both the Customer Experience Managers and Customer Service Specialists as needed. Attend all assigned training sessions. Attendance for in-person client meetings as required. Other duties as assigned.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possess a minimum of 2 years in the automation technology field with a minimum of 5 years of sales coordinator or customer service experience. Proficiency in working with SAP and/or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in working with Salesforce and/or similar CRM systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Possess and demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Bi-lingual preferred. Detail-oriented and ability to provide high-quality work, with a sense of urgency and focus on accuracy. Ability to be open and adaptable to change. Strong customer focus, empathetic, friendly, good energy, and positive demeanor in the workplace. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task when under pressure. Strong interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work well in a peer driven-team environment. Ability to operate with a high degree of emotional intelligence in the workplace and while interacting with others. Embody Murrelektronik’s Core Values. Travel: Occasional travel is required for this position. Typical Work Environment: In-office position. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. The employee must lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
