Job summary

Drexel Building Supply, Inc. is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to assist our outside sales team with daily processes and a focus on delivering happiness to customers and teammates.

This role emphasizes accurate order coordination, pricing updates, and efficient use of POS systems and spreadsheets. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, highly organized, and ready to grow into training and mentoring responsibilities within a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist outside sales with daily processes and order coordination.
• Type up and schedule delivery of materials.
• Print start packets, floor plans, i-joist, truss layouts.
• Update quotes with current pricing for resubmissions.
• Create jobs in the system and lock in quotes.
• Navigate POS systems and spreadsheets.
• Attend daily quarterback huddles to guide workload.
• Support with overages, shortages, and change orders.

A Sales Support Specialist will specialize in assisting our outside sales team with day to day processes and procedures while also supplying happiness to those around them!

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Self-motivated team player
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively one-on-one, and with large groups.
• Sales support duties: Typing up and scheduling delivery of materials, printing start packets, (floor plans, i-joist, truss layouts, etc.), scheduling returns, updating quote with current pricing to resubmit, creating jobs in the system and locking in quotes.
• Daily use and navigation of “point of sales” systems, computers and spreadsheets.
• Attending daily Quarterback huddles to guide workload and duties.
• Support with and help navigate overages and shortages of materials.
• Assist in facilitating change orders & warranty/service repairs for internal/external customers.
• Support the local sales team with rollover calls.
• Detail oriented with an eye for process improvement.
• As you grow in your role you will assist in training and motivating new team members.
