Role Description

Freestone Forest Products is seeking a full-time, on-site Sales Support team member at our Houston, Texas facility.

This is an internal support role responsible for assisting our Outside Territory Managers throughout the sales and order process. The position serves as an important connection between the sales team, customers, and internal departments by helping ensure quotes, sales orders, and customer communications are handled accurately and promptly.

This is not an outside sales or territory-management position. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Outside Territory Managers with daily sales and customer-service needs
• Prepare and process customer quote requests
• Enter, review, and confirm sales orders accurately
• Communicate order confirmations, updates, and other relevant information to customers
• Respond to routine customer questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate Territory Manager
• Maintain accurate customer, quote, and sales-order information within the company's ERP system
• Coordinate with production, scheduling, shipping, and other internal departments as needed
• Follow up on outstanding information to help keep quotes and orders moving forward
• Identify and communicate order discrepancies, delays, or potential customer-service concerns
• Maintain organized and accurate records of sales-related activity

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales support, customer service, order processing, or a related administrative role
• Experience working with ERP or order-management systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong business-math and logical-reasoning abilities
• Ability to organize priorities and manage multiple requests at the same time
• Ability to work effectively with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or building products is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field- or equivalent relevant experience is preferred
