Primary Function Overview
The Sales Support Associate acts as a liaison between Sales, Operations, and the Customer, providing an additional touch point to Wonderware West to achieve superior Customer Service. The continuous goal of the Sales Support Associate is to act as the anchor of the Senior Account Executive sales team, assisting Customers while growing and nurturing Tier 2 & Tier 3 clients.
In This Function You Will
- Work with outbound business development activities to grow and nurture smaller Tier 2 & 3 clients
- Provide lead qualification and serve as the initial point of contact for inbound marketing leads
- Handle general customer issues, inquiries, inbound calls, etc.
- Create opportunities and submit quote requests in CRM
- Assist with requests for proposals/requests for information
- Modify existing quotes in CRM
- Check and report on progress of customer orders
- Work with other internal departments to ensure seamless business activities are maintained in support of customers
- Monitor POP-Qs to maintain awareness of sales as they move through operations
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve process issues
- Validate and maintain account and contact information in Dynamics CRM
- Generate account and contact lists for targeted Wonderware marketing projects
- Provide sales-oriented data and reports as requested
- Assist with management of opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy
- Assist with the development and distribution of sales tools and collateral
- Find solutions, wherever a solution is needed
- Focus primarily on deals under $25K
- Work with below $25K deals in the current quarter and at 10%, sales support automatically pushes to the subsequent quarter and takes over
- Work with below $25K deals forecasted at 40% after the 2nd week in the current month, sales support automatically takes over
- Work with AEs to include a quote email signature that references insidesales@wonderwarewest.com
- Engage in weekly forecast calls with RSM
- Engage in marketing initiatives defined by Marketing and Business Dev.
- Serve as the initial point of contact when an AE is on PTO
- Provide special pricing request management with Wonderware
- Consistently perform required math calculations as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via phone and email
- Work with purchase order review
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales support role or administrative assistant role in a sales environment
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Candidates must be located in the state of Texas or Louisiana to be considered. Active-duty military service members are exempt from the geographical limitation.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
