Carter Lumber is seeking a Sales Support Associate to help our Sales Specialists and Outside Sales Representatives by processing orders and scheduling deliveries within the assigned region. A strong belief in the company's mission is required.

Responsibilities include entering orders, handling service orders, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely processing and delivery. Candidates should be team oriented and proficient with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience with building materials.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and effective communication.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Enter and place orders to assist Sales Specialists.
• Handle incoming service orders and schedule deliveries.
• Use software to revise quotes or smaller projects.
• Ensure all orders are processed and delivered on time.
• Communicate with vendors for discounts and order details.
• Maintain clear communication between Sales team and customers.

A Carter LumberSales Support Associate is responsible for the success of sales by assisting the Sales Specialists and Outside Sales Representative's with general sales and service activities within the assigned region. This is accomplished by processing orders and scheduling deliveries for sales in a timely and efficient manner. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

Responsibilities

• Assists Sales Specialists by entering and placing orders.
• Handles incoming servicesand schedules the orders accordingly.
• Ability to work withsoftware programs to make simple revisions or quote smaller projects.
• Ensures all sales orders are placed and delivered on time.
• Communicates with vendors for processing package, model home or conversion discounts.
• Keeps line of communication open between Sales Specialists, Outside Sales Representatives and customers to ensure that the services are processed in an accurate and in a timely manner.
• Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks to obtain product information; learns about building packages and products.
• Completes required training and development courses.
