Responsibilities

  • Manage or escalate any concerns and ensure that appropriate action is taken to resolve customer concerns
  • Manage post-delivery customer service survey communication flow
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and operations departments in addressing any customer service concerns to meet customer expectations within the direction of senior management.
  • Support sales and business development initiatives, including assisting with preparing responses for formal proposal requests.
  • Send order acknowledgments to customers
  • Compose correspondence to customers and potential customers.
  • Primary day-to-day contact for customers regarding projected delivery dates and shipping addresses.
  • Updates customer records;
  • Collects customer credit and bond information and provides it to the controller;
  • Track shipment status of customer orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reports to the Executive Vice-President while providing support to business development, engineering, and operations staff

Qualifications

[· Proficient with telephone and Microsoft Office suite;

· Basic understanding of business math principles

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;

· Associate degree preferred; but can be substituted for job experience in a related field

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple priorities at once.

· Previous experience in a customer service environment, ideally in a manufacturing facility

· Must have adequate hearing and visual acuity;

· Must be able to effectively communicate on the telephone while entering data on computer;

· Ability to communicate effectively across all company departments and with clients who will include government entities, as well as architecture and engineering firms

· Computer literacy on company supported programs;

· Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings;

· Knowledge of essential business software

· Ability to function in and office and production floor environment
