Job summary

Kentucky Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Sales Support/Merchandising candidate to assist the sales team by covering open territories south of Lexington, including Danville, Lawrenceburg, Liberty, and Harrodsburg.

You will learn about supplier brands, data analytics, and the Montreux sales process while traveling locally with the sales team. The role emphasizes building displays, understanding sales goals, and supporting route coverage when needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of B2B customer service experience preferred.
• Route-based account management or merchandising experience preferred.
• Strong desire to start a career in Sales.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend and repetitively lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

Overview:

The purpose of this position is to support the sales team by merchandising accounts and covering open territories. It also provides an opportunity to learn about Kentucky Eagle’s portfolio, customers’, sales and delivery processes to prepare for a sales role.

THIS POSITION WILL SUPPORT AN AREA SOUTH OF LEXINGTON. SUCH AS; DANVILLE, LAWRENCEBURG, LIBERTY, HARRODSBURG AREAS

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn about our suppliers and their brands.
• Learn how to utilize data analytics to be a resource for our customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Learn and use the Montreux sales process.
• Travel in local market with Sales Representatives and Sales Management.
• Learn how to competitively present and position our brands in the market.
• Assist Sales Team with display builds, ensuring displays are positioned in an impactful location.
• Be knowledgeable of current sales goals in order to assist Sales Professionals with opportunity identification
• Merchandise and place point of sale material when not covering open routes.
• Covering sales routes due to vacations or other absences.
• Record and monitor inventory at accounts.
• Review sales performance with management compared to sales targets.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1+ years of B2B customer service experience preferred.
• Route based account management or merchandising experience preferred.
• Strong desire to start a career in Sales.
• Have a valid Driver’s License and must be 21 years of age
• Good driving record acceptable to Kentucky Eagle’s insurance carrier.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Solicitors License with the Kentucky Dept. of Alcohol and Beverage Control
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, bend, twist and repetitively lift 35lbs.
