Job summary

Big Cedar Lodge is seeking a results-driven Supervisor to lead a Vacation Planning team of Leads and Travel Consultants, guiding sales toward maximum bookings and revenue while ensuring exceptional guest service.

You will convert inquiries into bookings for lodging, activities, dining, golf, marina, and spa; upsell services; communicate with guests and departments; and support the Assistant Manager in budgeting and performance coaching.

Qualifications

  • Must show schedule flexibility and willingness to work varied hours, holidays and weekends, understanding that the operation is 365 days/year
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Basic Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to maximizing all sales and revenue opportunities as part of the Vacation Planning team.
  • Convert inquiries and leads to confirmed bookings, including requests for accommodation, activities, dining, golf, marina and spa.
  • Promote and sell all services via the telephone, in person or in writing (email and online chat).
  • Provide consistent and effective communication with guests and departments by recording and processing all bookings, cancellations and amendments promptly and in line with company standards in all appropriate systems.
  • Ensure all customer requirements and expectations are clearly communicated for enhanced service delivery, particularly for special requests.
  • Share, communicate, and act upon relevant customer feedback in a timely manner.
  • Comply with the company’s ways of working and best practice standards by accurately entering all data, organizing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines, and applying the Navis 7 Non-Negotiables.
  • Prepare reports to support the Assistant Manager using both computerized systems and other computer software.
  • Support Assistant Manager/Leads/Trainer efforts in ensuring consistent communication and feedback with agents pertaining to performance.
  • Sell products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Work with Assistant Manager to meet and understand annual budgets.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent
4-year degree in related field preferred
Minimum of 1 years of experience in a sales capacity preferred

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervisors will demonstrate a flexible and adaptive hands-on approach to empower and guide a dedicated team of Leads and Travel Consultants to deliver a consistently high standard of bookings and services to our guests, visitors and other departments.

Supervisors aim to get the best performance possible from the team, focusing on maximizing productivity, inspiring sales and revenue generation and providing genuine, quality customer care always.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to work as a member of the Vacation Planning team, contributing to maximizing all sales and revenue opportunities - useful for team coverage and understanding the role.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 4-year degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a sales capacity preferred
