Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist in the United States, Texas region. You will engage customers, assess project needs, explain product options, and close sales with expert guidance. You’ll become a product expert, promote promotions and financing, and help customers achieve home improvement goals.

You will work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more. The role emphasizes in-store activity, customer interaction, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support and fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates, installations, orders, and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock and replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing/docs.
• Support checkout functions and assist with requests across departments.
• Train department associates on on-the-job sales floor procedures and development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
