  • This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA

With more than 50 years’ experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.

Job Description Summary

As our Sales Specialist, the ideal candidate will provide value added customer service before and during the ordering process to achieve sales objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be the key liaison with field sales and product / service businesses to achieve account plan goals
  • Identify and close daily order opportunities based on analysis of customer usage patterns
  • Customer Knowledge regarding preferences / types of purchase etc.
  • Evaluate and edit request for proposals
  • This will require technical knowledge of the product, interpretation of electrical, mechanical and control schematic drawings
  • Provide clarification on quotation questions, verify customer orders against quotes and resolve any discrepancies
  • Determine pricing and availability through online systems / negotiations with product business
  • Coordinate and document all modifications to orders including drawing changes and bill of material changes
  • Develop proposals and determine status of proposal on customers smaller, routine orders
  • Enter orders on appropriate product business
  • Assure compliance with customer contract requirements
  • Verify shipment of equipment, investigate shortages damages and missing equipment
  • Issue return authorization and track repairs as necessary
  • Assist in resolution of claims and incorrect invoices
  • Provide technical assistance to the customer and other sales associates as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial sales
