Job summary

IKEA in Oaks, OK is hiring a Retail Sales Planning keyholder. You will optimize the shopping experience and maximize retail sales by applying interior design knowledge to guidance on layout, color, style and accessories for homes, offices, or businesses.

This role requires 34-40 hours per week with open availability between 11:00 and 19:15. You will sell home furnishing solutions, build customer relationships, and ensure order accuracy and a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Prev. retail selling experience.
• Experience in a consultative sales environment.
• Experience leading change initiatives and building new programs in a retail space.

Responsibilities

• Use interior design knowledge to guide layout, color, style and accessories for homes and businesses.
• Sell specialized home furnishing solutions (kitchens, baths, storage, services).
• Create relationships with customers to identify needs and provide support before, during and after sales.
• Apply measurement techniques and planning/design understanding to ensure orders meet specs.
• Drive repeat visits by ensuring a customer-centric sales team and strong shopping/branding experience.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including opening/closing duties when assigned.
• Maintain a safe work environment and handle escalated issues, injuries, and emergencies.
• Collaborate with Safety & Security on inventory integrity, cash handling, and audits.
• Ensure adherence to Commercial Review and Compliance and related procedures.
• Perform CMP goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently using systems.

JOB TYPE – Hourly, benefits eligible

HOURS 34-40 hours per week

SHIFTS – Open availability between 11:00 and 7:15 pm required

PAY - pay range for this role is between $25.06 to 31.00

What you'll be doing day to day

As a Retail Sales Planning keyholder, responsible for optimizing the shopping experience and maximizing retail sales, you will:

• Use your knowledge of interior design to provide guidance on layout, color, style and accessories for residential and business customers who need advice on how to decorate their homes, offices, or businesses.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and training to sell specialized home furnishing solutions, such as kitchens, bath, storage systems, and services.
• Create relationships with customers to identify customer needs and provide support before, during and after the sales.
• Apply basic measurement techniques and understanding of planning, design, and construction to ensure customer orders are correct and to specification.
• Drive repeat visitation to the IKEA stores by ensuring the sales team is customer-centric and is focused on providing a great shopping and branding experience.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations when assigned, including opening and/or closing duties for the store.
• Responsible for a safe and secure work environment, including but not limited to escalated customer issues, customer and coworker injuries, first aid/CPR/AED, and emergency protocols.
• Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and audits regarding inventory integrity, safety, cash, credit, and check handling procedures, internal controls and internal audit standards.
• Ensure implementation of working routines, competence development and follow-up of Commercial Review and Compliance (ASR) related to the role and functions.
• Performs CMP goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently using available systems and tools to ensure smooth processes and data accuracy.
