Sales Representative - Eastern Missouri/Southern Illinois

Remote - must live within the territory.

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company and a leader in the commercial feed industry, has an immediate opening for a proven sales leader in the Eastern Missouri/Southern Illinois sales territory.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• A strong knowledge of beef nutrition is required. Knowledge of other species is a plus, as the territory is diverse.
• Develop a strategic prospecting plan to sell to sustainable livestock producers and feed dealers.
• Regularly contact customers and prospects, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Achieve revenue, tonnage, market share, and product mix targets as directed for assigned listings and sales groups.
• Provide sound nutritional and management consultation to enhance profitability.
• Ration balancing will be required.
• Assist feed dealers in developing and executing marketing strategies to grow market share.

Requirements for this position include:

• Bachelor's Degree (or applicable related experience), industry knowledge, working knowledge of management and feeding practices, computer literacy, and proficiency in livestock (beef) feed formulation/ration balancing. Strong agricultural business aptitude is essential.
• Prior sales experience and a proven track record in developing new accounts are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Residency within the territory, comfort working around livestock and farm machinery, valid driver's license, ability to withstand automobile confinement, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely.
