Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a geographical sales territory in the United States. The role focuses on developing independent and regional account business, achieving budgeted sales and profit objectives, and regular engagement with customers.

The ideal candidate has outside sales experience in a fast-paced environment, strong presentation, organizational, and time-management skills, and a proven ability to build new business while managing pricing and credit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary school degree equivalence considered.
• 2 years of industry related experience or a culinary school degree equivalent.
• Outside sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills, organizational and time management skills, strong desire to build new business, strong work ethic and attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Required Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Position requires extensive local travel- valid driver's license and clean MVR with dependable means of transportation.
• Infrequent lifting of 25-30 pounds may be required.
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
