Sales Representative – The primary responsibility is to manage the sales process while providing excellent customer service. The Sales Representative continuously sources new customers, helps customers find and design their dream home, and ensures a smooth sales process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision, and capabilities to potential customers.
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then position D.R. Horton as the best solution.
- Overcome objections and close sales.
- Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction.
- Continually source new sales opportunities.
- Create and provide a marketing plan to management for establishing new customer relationships.
- Network and perform outreach to realtors.
- Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with other team members.
- Maintain and expand database of prospects.
- Attend sales meetings.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members.
- Execute policies that ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience.
- Valid Alabama Real Estate license.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and ability to drive daytime or nighttime.
- Ability to use D.R. Horton Sales applications on smartphone, tablet, or laptop.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or application instructions.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Physical ability to stand and walk 4 hours, sit extended periods, kneel, bend, walk stairs, use hands, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, and meet vision requirements.
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Acceptance of moderate noise level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensing requirements vary by state.
- Prior CRM software experience.
- Previous sales experience, industry knowledge preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
