Who are we looking for?

Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Sales Representative in the Government Market in Global Sales. The Government Sales Department manages US Federal, State, and Canadian Government programs (both Transient and Group) to increase Choice Brand's market share. You will oversee the day-to-day management of three seasoned salespeople, work with segment leadership on special accounts and projects, and help increase room nights and revenue in the government segment.

Your Responsibilities
  • Increase penetration of current accounts and strengthen key segment relationships.
  • Maintain focus on Choice participation and competitiveness.
  • Understand segment nuances to serve customers effectively.
  • Support account managers with tools and resources, including trade shows.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of hospitality sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong knowledge of the corporate/government transient market and RFP tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including heavy email correspondence.
  • Proficient in Lanyon, Salesforce, Tableau.
Your Team

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Specialty Sales - Government, with 2 peer teammates and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Work Location

This is a remote role, requiring virtual connection via Zoom and periodic travel (up to 15%) to offices in North Bethesda, MD, or Scottsdale, AZ, and to conventions or franchise visits nationwide.

Salary Range

Annual salary between $60,154 to $70,286 plus commission via the Global Sales Incentive Plan. Pay may vary based on experience, location, and performance.
