MacQueen Equipment Group in Minnesota seeks a Fire Apparatus Sales Representative to own the Minnesota territory, building and maintaining durable customer relationships with fire departments and first responders. You’ll move opportunities from first conversations to delivery, while opening new doors where business exists.
The role requires meeting with customers in the field, presenting and configuring products, and managing a long sales cycle with dedicated follow-through and teamwork.

At MacQueen , we don't just sell fire trucks. We partner with the fire departments and first responders who depend on them.
As an authorized dealer for industry-leading manufacturers including Pierce and Skeeter , we help departments across the Midwest find the right apparatus for their people, their communities, and the way they respond.
We're looking for a Fire Apparatus Sales Representative to take ownership of our Minnesota territory.
And this isn't a territory where you're starting from scratch.
You'll step into established customer relationships while also having plenty of opportunity to open doors, build new relationships, and grow MacQueen's presence in areas where there's still business to win.
If you're a relationship-driven salesperson who would rather be out talking with customers than sitting behind a desk—and you like selling a product you can actually get excited about—keep reading.
This is a relationship business. You’ll spend your time getting to know the fire departments in your territory—their people, their fleet, what they need now, and what they’ll need down the road.
You’ll be out in the field having conversations, demonstrating apparatus, helping departments work through specifications and configurations, and guiding them through a purchase that can take months (or longer) from the first conversation to delivery.
Some of your customers will already know MacQueen. Others will be yours to go find.
Either way, your job is to become the person they call when it’s time to talk trucks.
You’ll own your territory, keep your pipeline moving, know what the competition is doing, and work closely with the teams back at MacQueen to make sure what we promise our customers is what we deliver.
We’ll give you the tools, products, process, and support. You bring the relationships, follow-through, and drive to grow the territory.
Fire apparatus sales is different.
The sales cycle can be long. There are committees, specifications, budgets, demonstrations, competitive bids, and a lot of conversations before an apparatus ever makes it into production.
That's why we're looking for someone who knows how to play the long game.
You'll need to stay connected, follow through, know your customers, understand what's happening in your territory, and continue building relationships even when there isn't an immediate sale on the table.
The goal isn't simply to sell someone a truck.
It's to become the person they call when it's time to talk about their next one.
An Associate degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with CRM systems and CDK is a plus.
Commission Transition: After the initial period, you will transition to a 100% commission-based structure, with unlimited earning potential based on your performance
There are plenty of sales jobs where you're selling something a customer could take or leave.
This isn't one of them.
You're helping fire departments make one of the biggest and most important investments they'll make—equipment their firefighters will depend on when someone's worst day happens.
You’ll have the backing of established manufacturers, an existing MacQueen customer base, a territory with room to grow, and a team behind you throughout the process.
If you're competitive enough to chase the next opportunity but relationship-focused enough to still be there after the sale, we'd like to meet you.
