Job description

What You'll Actually Be Doing

You'll operate as a consultant, equipment expert, and relationship builder:

  • Meet directly with EMS agencies, fire departments, municipalities, hospitals, and emergency service organizations throughout your territory
  • Demonstrate ambulance features, specifications, technology, and operational capabilities
  • Help customers identify the right vehicle configurations based on staffing, response models, budgets, and operational requirements
  • Guide customers through the entire purchasing process—from initial discussions through delivery and beyond
  • Utilize MacQueen's 5-4-3-2-1 sales process and consultative selling methodology
  • Build long‑term customer relationships that extend far beyond a single sale
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitive products, and financing options
  • Track customer activity, opportunities, forecasts, wins, and losses within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with operations, service, and production teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
What Makes This Role Different

You’re not selling transportation.

You’re helping emergency responders acquire the vehicles they depend on every day.

That means:

  • The decisions are important
  • The relationships are long‑term
  • The equipment is mission‑critical
  • The trust you build matters

When an EMS crew responds to a cardiac arrest, major accident, or critical patient transport, there's a good chance they're operating in a vehicle you helped put into service.

The Kind of Person Who Wins Here
  • You’re naturally curious and ask questions before offering solutions
  • You build trust quickly and maintain relationships over time
  • You enjoy being in front of customers more than sitting behind a desk
  • You’re organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable managing a large territory
  • You can communicate technical information without overwhelming customers
  • You thrive in an environment where performance drives opportunity
What You'll Bring
  • Sales experience in ambulance, apparatus, emergency services, healthcare, transportation, fleet, commercial vehicle, or related industries preferred
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer projects simultaneously
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage pipeline activity and forecasting
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently throughout a territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems
Why You'll Love MacQueen

We support the people who answer the call when communities need help most.

That means:

  • The work has purpose
  • The products matter
  • The relationships are real
  • And every sale directly supports emergency response and patient care

You won't be selling equipment just to hit a number.

You'll be helping EMS professionals get the tools they need to save lives.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Commission: Uncapped earning potential
  • The territory includes a significant backlog of existing business scheduled for delivery, creating immediate commission opportunities for the successful candidate.
  • Estimated first‑year total compensation: approximately $100,000, though actual earnings will depend on individual results and commission payout timing.
