Job description

Sells products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units (MDU) areas/properties with 20+ doors through door-to-door solicitation, lobby events, and by building strong relationships with property managers.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Meet objectives related to monthly sales goals, increasing sales volume and penetration through assigned leads and property portfolio
  • Solicit residential customers via door-to-door, lobby events, and by maintaining relationships with property management
  • Generate additional revenue by upselling existing customers with new or additional services
  • Address customer problems and complaints per company policy, ensuring satisfactory resolution
  • Stay informed about competitors' activities within the territory; inform management of any changes in pricing or marketing strategies
  • Participate in sales meetings and training programs
  • Complete all sales-related paperwork accurately, including dispositions, sales orders, and reports, adhering to quality guidelines
  • Handle funds securely, providing receipts according to company policies

Required Qualifications

  • Cold calling, persuasion, and clear communication skills
  • Ability to travel using a personal vehicle, including in inclement weather
  • Ability to work outdoors in any weather and season
  • Familiarity with computer systems, communication devices, and relevant software
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in sales or customer service: 0-6 months

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and data networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services
  • Experience in consumer education about products/services
  • Previous success in sales, prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales preferred but not required
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Preferred Work Experience

Sales or relevant experience: 1+ years

Working Conditions

  • Approximately 80% of time spent outdoors, in any weather
  • Ability to lift 10-20 pounds for 20-30 feet
  • Moderate noise exposure
  • Work evenings and weekends; variable hours including holidays and split days off
