Job summary

Red River Ski Area Inc is seeking Sales Representatives to greet guests, handle in-person and over-the-phone sales and reservations, and promote a friendly, welcoming environment. You will respond quickly to guests' needs and ensure accurate information and smooth transactions at the point of sale.

Key duties include cash handling, operating the sales software, processing tickets and rentals, and assisting guests with mountain information, with weekend/holiday availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, listen, and understand their needs.
• Instruct guests on Waiver Stations.
• Sell Lift Tickets, Rentals, Lessons, and Winter Tubing.
• Collect payment using sales software and manage cash.
• Verify cash drawer at shift start and report discrepancies.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Provide directions and information about the mountain and services.
• Dispense information about Red River Ski Area, trail conditions, and activities.
• Communicate information effectively in person or by phone.
• Collect and verify necessary information for purchases.
• Process changes to guest purchases or reservations.
• Coordinate with supervisors in Guest Services and Ski School.
• Issue Season Passes and Employee Passes.
• Load employee debit cards and payroll deduction forms.
• Keep kiosks stocked and resolve user issues.
• Handle mail and messages.
• Perform clerical duties and operate Lost and Found.
• Be willing to work weekends, holidays, overtime if required.

As sales Representatives, you play a crucial role in shaping our guests' experience. Your responsibilities include handling in-person and over-the-phone sales and reservations. You are the face of our company, promoting a friendly and welcoming environment and responding quickly and efficiently to our guests' needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests, listen, and understand their needs.
• Instruct guests on how to use Waiver Stations.
• Perform sales of Lift Tickets, Rentals, Lessons, and Winter Tubing.
• Collects payment for products sold using our sales software focusing on cash management.
• Verify the cash drawer at the beginning of the shift and inform the supervisor immediately of any discrepancy.
• Maintain a work area that is clean and organized.
• Cheerfully provide directions or information about the mountain and its services.
• Dispense accurate information about Red River Ski & Summer Area, trail conditions, and activities.
• Effectively communicate information person-to-person or on the telephone.
• When communicating over the telephone, more descriptive language may be required to sell products accurately.
• In all sales, but especially when selling over the phone, accurate, complete information must be collected.
• Listen carefully to guest concerns, collect pertinent information, and find a solution for the problems.
• Make changes to guest purchases or reservations.
• Keep communication lines open with supervisors in Guest Services and Ski School.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Opening procedure includes stocking and cleaning the area before opening.
• Closing procedure including Closeout drawers, stock, and clean, lock doors.
• Assist the reservations department in processing phone or online reservations.
• Assist the marketing team during special events, including selling registration or tickets.
• Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that enableRed River Ski & Summer Areato present itself well.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Prior Guest Services and Cashiering experience preferred but not required.
