Job summary

Sleep Number is seeking a results-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our store team. You will help customers find Sleep Number solutions that improve comfort and well-being while delivering exceptional service.

In this role you will demonstrate product benefits, uphold our showroom standards, and build relationships that encourage repeat visits. Eligible for uncapped commission and career development in a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

Opportunity – What You’ll Do

Discover each customer’s sleep needs and match them with the right Sleep Number products. Clearly explain product benefits and current promotions while delivering personalized customer experiences to drive satisfaction and exceed sales goals. Proactively nurture prospective customers through outbound calls, with a strong focus on building relationships that generate repeat and new business. Work together to maintain a polished showroom and deliver an exceptional store experience. Take part in sales practice training and coaching to sharpen your skills.

What You Bring

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
• Goal‑oriented and customer‑focused attitude, with a drive to exceed individual and team sales goals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• 1–2 years of retail, customer service, or other customer‑facing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Experience in consultative or relationship‑based sales, ideally in a commission‑driven environment.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, point‑of‑sale technology, and interactive sales tools (e.g., iPads, apps).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a team.

What You’ll Get

• All team members earn a salary of $47,000‑$66,000 annually; actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed.
• Guaranteed base pay of $16/hour, along with uncapped commission and bonus potential.
