Job description

Position Overview

The Sales Representative assists the General Manager with new membership sales by bringing new members to the studio, booking them into demo classes, and helping retain current members. Pilates fitness knowledge or background is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Execute the sales process of lead generation, follow up, and close.
• Conduct tours of the facility while establishing relationships and targeting individuals' needs and wants.
• Maintain an acceptable level of personal sales production.
• Emphasize and enforce the club’s objectives as a fitness and wellness provider.
• Present available services to current or prospective members.
• Book quality appointments to achieve monthly sales quota.
• Participate in special events (health fairs, grand openings, marathons, community and hospital events) to promote the club.
• Assume responsibility for developing selling skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Goal-oriented with an ability to achieve sales in memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training.
• Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use the Club Ready software system.
• Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours during the workday.
• Hearing sufficient to understand conversations in person and on the phone.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Professional and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation; clean DMV record and background check clearance required.
• Occasional travel may be required.
